Great for 3-4 days The main sites are Kempir Tas, Saymantas and Konyr-Aulye Cave. I recommend including Ushel'ye Ved'm as an easy hike up a gorge. Look out for sand lizards and snakes. Also climbed the highest mountain in the region, Akbet, at 1020m. This is pathless and the ascent is largely through forest with some boulders and spiky vegetation. The summit consists of overhanging rocks.

Bayanaul National Resort Village Tour Went there in fall. Want to go there on summer. Place is really tranquil and calm. In the village Toraighyr where we went to 500 people live only! On the second day of a trip it snowed!:) Really liked the mountains in the snow. Roads there were all clean, there was no sound I felt like there is no people. I came back from there very relaxed and happy.

Breathtaking nature, refreshing wilderness, beautiful in winter My friends and I visited the place recently and were amazed with that rural wild Kazakhstan we didn't get to see before. It was an unforgettable experience - wonderful nature, relaxing environment, kind, friendly people. We travelled from Astana by train to Ekibastuz, then a taxi to Bayanaul. We stayed at a local airbnb, which made it even more authentic. The host took as around a national park on his 4WD, and we got to hike the out-of-this-world rock formations, and swim in the mountain lakes. I heard it was beautiful in winter too - I want to come back again next year
